Volunteer Position
Crew Caretaker in Remote Greenland
Help hold the rhythm of our wilderness camps

Nomad Greenland creates private, off-the-grid experiences in remote parts of Greenland. Each journey is tailored to the guest—quiet, personal, and deeply connected to the landscapes we work in.

At the heart of our camps is a small team. This summer, we are looking for two volunteers to join that team as Crew Caretakers—a role focused on supporting the crew behind the scenes.

You’ll help with practical tasks that keep camp life moving: cooking meals for the team, keeping the crew tent clean and welcoming, preparing for new arrivals, and lending a hand where it’s needed. Some days are long. Others are quiet. And when time allows, there may be space to join one of our adventures—by boat, on foot, or over open water.

The kind of presence that makes a place feel like home

We’re either looking for someone with kind, calm energy—someone sweet, thoughtful, and nurturing, the kind of person who makes people feel taken care of,or someone with a warm sense of humour—who brings lightness and energy, and helps create a good mood when the crew comes home after a long day. Both are equally valuable. The most important thing is that you help create a space that feels good to return to.

What you’ll be part of

Each of our camps hosts a maximum of 10 guests at a time—and the crew is just about the same size. You’ll be one of around 10 people living and working together, sharing both responsibility and daily life in a truly remote setting.

What we offer

  • Flights to and from Greenland

  • Food and accommodation throughout your stay

  • A place in a remote camp—Kiattua or Saqqaq—accessible only by boat or helicopter

  • The chance to live and work in one of the wildest places on Earth

  • Occasional opportunities to join guest experiences when time allows

Who We’re Looking For:

You don’t need a title—but you do need to be practical, grounded, and curious.

We imagine you:

  • Have experience cooking for small groups (simple, hearty meals)

  • Are comfortable keeping shared spaces clean and welcoming

  • Don’t mind laundry or dishes when needed

  • Are open to helping with other tasks beyond the kitchen

  • Can work independently but enjoy being part of a team

  • Speaks English or Greenlandic

  • Are available from mid-June to mid-September
