Nomad Greenland Featured in Condé Nast Traveller
We’re really grateful to be featured in Condé Nast Traveller.
They’re known for telling stories with care, and this one, spread across 12 pages, comes from time actually spent here, moving through the fjords, the camps, and the people around them.
Seeing Greenland, and what we try to do here, written about with that kind of attention, feels both humbling and special.
The article reflects a simple idea: Greenland is not a place to observe from a distance. It is a place to be in.
A Different Way to Experience Greenland
Much of Greenland is seen from afar, by ship, through a lens, or on a schedule.
Our camps are placed differently.
You wake by the fjord.
You move with the weather.
You follow the rhythm of the day as it unfolds.
There is no separation between you and the landscape.
Remote Camps by the Fjords
Our camps are located in two distinct regions:
Kiattua (Nuuk Fjord) – a quiet inlet surrounded by mountains and water
Saqqaq (Disko Bay) – a coastline shaped by drifting icebergs
Each location offers direct access to Greenland’s landscapes, without distance or interruption.
Life at Camp
Days are simple.
You travel across the fjord by boat.
You walk through tundra, soft underfoot and rich with berries.
You share meals made from what is found nearby.
Evenings are quiet.
Light lingers.
Nothing is rushed.
Food Connected to Place
Meals reflect the surroundings.
Fish from the fjord.
Ingredients gathered from the land.
Prepared and shared together.
Food here is not separate from the experience.
It is part of it.
Culture and Everyday Life
Greenland is lived in, not just visited.
Time spent here brings you closer to a way of life shaped by the land and sea, where fishing, hunting, and gathering remain part of daily rhythm.
The Condé Nast feature highlights this connection between people and place.
Time, Uncertain
There is a Greenlandic word: immaqa—“perhaps.”
You might see the northern lights.
You might not.
Plans soften.
Attention sharpens.
Why This Feature Matters
Being featured in Condé Nast Traveller reflects a shift toward travel that is quieter, slower, and more connected.
This is what Nomad Greenland was built around.
Our camps operate from June to October.
Small groups.
Remote locations.
Time shaped by nature.
